If you're worried about an illness or injury, you can always call NHS 111.  The line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can give you advice and direct you to the best service.

Your pharmacist can help you put together a basic family medicine cabinet, so you can care for minor injuries and illnesses at home.

Five Ways to Wellbeing

The Five Ways to Wellbeing are a set of evidence-based approaches to improve wellbeing, which people can build into their daily lives: 

  1. Connect with the people around you – family friends, colleagues and neighbours – building these connections will support and enrich you.
  2. Learn  Enjoy achieving a new challenge and boost your confidence by trying something new or rediscovering an old interest.
  3. Be Active  Discover a physical activity you enjoy and suits your level of mobility and fitness because exercise makes you feel good.
  4. Notice  Savouring the moment, whether walking to work, eating your lunch or talking to friends, will help you appreciate what matters to you.
  5. Give Join a volunteer group or just do something nice for someone – it can be incredibly rewarding and create a connection with the people around you.
