The CCG holds meetings and events where members of the public are invited to attend and/or contribute.

  • Meeting in public means that members of the public are invited to attend but due to the agenda and volume of business, are not able to contribute whilst the meeting is taking place. There may be opportunities to submit questions to be raised at the meeting; details are listed with each event.
  • An Open Session means that members of the public are invited to attend and are able to contribute and ask questions.
  • A Closed Meeting will be for specific people to attend (i.e the PPG network meeting is for PPG members only)
  • An Event usually needs to be booked and details of how you can contribute will depend on the event; details are listed with each event.

You can find more information about future events in the list below.

There is more information about past events on the Past Events page.

Commissioning Reform Events

“The NHS Long Term plan outlined how the NHS will change in the future, including a fundamental shift in how CCGs will work and how future commissioning will be carried out.  As part of this, you may be aware of proposals to merge CCGs in East and West Sussex (not including Brighton and Hove CCG), in order to ensure the planning and buying of health services can be done in a more effective and joined up way with Local Authorities in future. This also supports the move towards “Integrated Care Systems” and “Population Health Commissioning, with greater focus on prevention and outcomes rather than episodes of sickness and illness.

We know that some people are unclear about these changes, and that there are lots of questions about new ways of working; we want to ensure you are provided with clear information and the opportunity to ask questions and give us your views.

We have planned a number of discussion sessions across Sussex, where you will hear about these changes from our Clinical and Commissioning Leads, ask questions and make suggestions for our aim of working more collaboratively with our partners.

The list below shows where we are holding these discussions, with the links to book on (so we know how many will be attending).

If you cannot attend, please do let us know if you would like someone to come to your organisation or group to talk through the changes.

We will be putting information on the CCG websites very soon, including a summary, frequently asked questions and a short animation.

If you have any questions, please contact us: HWCCG.engagement@nhs.net/BHCCG.participation@nhs.net
