Freedom of Information Requests

Making a Freedom of Information Request

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives individuals or organisations the right to request information held by a public authority.

As a public body, NHS Brighton and Hove Clinical Commissioning Group has a duty to comply with all aspects of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

We are committed to keeping you informed about what we do, and publish many documents that may provide you with the information you are looking for.

Please check our Publications page and the previous responses to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests received by the CCG document below (this is updated monthly) before making an FOI request. If you would like an anonymised copy of a previous request please email BHCCG.FOI@nhs.net quoting the reference number of the request.

Guidelines for making a request

If the information you need is not available on our website, you may contact us to make a Freedom of Information request.

FOI requests must:

  • Be made in writing, for example in a letter or an email. We cannot accept verbal requests.
  • Include a contact name and a return address. This can be an email or postal address.
  • Be as specific as possible. The clearer your request is, the easier it will be for us to provide the information you require.
  • Be marked ‘Freedom of Information’. Although you do not have to specify that you are making an FOI request, doing so will help us identify it more quickly.

If you would like to make an FOI request to Brighton and Hove CCG, please email BHCCG.FOI@nhs.net. Responses to valid FOI requests should be provided within 20 working days of the date they are received.

Alternatively, write to:
FOI Coordinator
NHS Brighton and Hove CCH
Hove Town Hall,
Norton Road,
Hove
BN3 4A
