JULY 2017

Big Health and Care Conversation Launch

Date: Tuesday 4 July 2017
Time: 10:00 – 13:00
Venue: Brighton Dome Cafe, Brighton Dome, Church Street, Brighton BN1 1UE

The Brighton and Hove “Big Health and Care Conversation” is being launched on 4 July 2017 and we want you to join in and give us your views.

Brighton and Hove NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, Brighton & Hove City Council (Adult Social Care), Brighton and Hove Healthwatch and Community Works would like to invite you to discuss the future of local health and care in Brighton and Hove. This will be an opportunity for you to tell us what matters to you in health and social care.

Our local plans for health and care are part of the wider Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP), and there will be an opportunity to hear about the latest STP developments and to discuss your views with us; this will be the start of an ongoing dialogue with local people on the STP.

This event builds on previous feedback we have had from our patients, carers and the public, and is the start of the new Brighton and Hove Big Health and Care Conversation, which will take place throughout the rest of 2017. We want as many people as possible to join in the conversation to ensure that people’s views and experiences are heard and acted on, and help to shape the way health and care are planned and delivered now and in the future.
The format of the event will be informal, which we hope will enable attendees to join conversations relating to their areas of interest.

Keeping People Healthier Longer

Date: Thursday 13 July 2017
Time: 14:00 – 15.30
Venue: The Auditorium, Brighthelm Centre, North Street, BN1 1YD

Our ‘Keeping People Healthier Longer’ event (formerly called Preventing People Dying Early) will be held on Thursday 13th July 2-3.30pm in The Auditorium, The Brighthelm Centre.  It's part of our Big Health and Care Conversation.

Brighton and Hove Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Public Health (Brighton and Hove City Council) have worked with GPs and other partners to look at the reasons why some people in our city die earlier than they might have, and how we can support residents of the city to live longer and more healthy lives.

We would like to invite you to hear about this ground breaking piece of work, and to be involved in looking at how we build on existing support available to ensure that we are giving local people the best chance of living well and longer.
